What Is Love?

 What is love? A lot of people would constantly ask that question even though they have swore they have been in love a thousand times. So what exactly are we looking for? I mean every time we are in love there will always be heartbreak, joy and smiles and tears. Love is everything or anything you want it to be. Believe me, it’s complicated. I won’t say I’m an expert but I have to say I have been in love.

                Well, you always hear of soapy romance stories or movies, some you cry to and some you wonder if the person in the story was you. Well, a love story will never ever have a happy ending unless you get married and live a long happy life which is hard in this era. Influence and materialistic visions are empowering our mind and we forget what is really important. Love doesn’t come just from a girlfriend or boyfriend, it can come from your friends, family and God. So why are we fidgeting over a stupid thing call love for that one special person. Of course it hurts, like come on, love hurts!

                I like flirting, I mean who doesn’t? From a slight smile to a brush on an arm, everyone enjoys it once in a while. Love is not lust but a feeling that makes you do anything for one person. When I used to ask myself “Am I in love?” I would also ask myself “Would I die for him?” and most of the time it’ll be no. Why? I don’t know. Love is mysterious. But when you feel it, you can’t sit still and you would be waiting for a text that might never come. We might be waiting for a lover who won’t come back. We might be just frustrated to a maximum level like wondering if he or she would ever feel the same. It’s hard to control others feelings.

                This is for the people who are single and hearts have been broken, don’t ever think you were never good enough for someone. The ones who dumped you are the ones who aren’t good enough for you. There is always someone better and perfect for you out there. And no worries, God will help you. Now have a pleasant day and go love somebody, remember karma! What goes around comes around, so spread the love and it might just make you the most loved person in the universe.

The Future.

So I have been forced to actually assume what the world will be like in 2050…How the hell can someone predict the future? In all honesty being asked to ‘predict’ what the world will be like in 40 years is a complete and utter waste of my time, let alone 190 other students.

Sustainability? Reduction? What do these words even mean! I would imagine by now we would be living in a much more reasonable time where we can safely imagine how stagnant current movement patterns are, where we can eagerly await the next updated piece of technology every 1-2 years, however to actually have the nerve to predict teleporters and full body tron-like suits that will provide sustainability and reduce carbon footprints is a waste of time. Can we not take things slowly? Can we not just take the time to assess how on earth, literally, the world will advance? I am so sick of the amount of people telling me they know what is going to happen, they know exactly what is going on. You don’t know a single god damn thing. No one does.

People talk about space-age technology and developments occurring at NASA, however I’ve recently found out about a particular student who was accepted into a NASA scholarship program, he likes to drink, prey on the occasional underage girl for the worst of reasons and is a bit of a sportsman. In no way will I be living in a ‘space-age world’ that is designed by someone that has the time to have a six pack, I want nerds to be at NASA, nerds that have six packs of antihistamines so the dust collected in the ventilation of the office buildings wont bother them working at late hours. We do not need a bunch of jocks who use their lunch breaks at uni to hit the gym instead of the library to be controlling where we are going in the future.

But seriously, does any of this really matter? in 50 years we’ll only be thinking about how miserable we are in comparison to the way we are living now.
